Publisher of the Globe Post, Walkerville & Savannah City Times and Orange Farm News – hosted a successful Savings Month Awareness Campaign that empowered elderly citizens with practical financial knowledge and encouraged them to begin their savings journey, reinforcing the importance of building financial security for the future.
The event also highlighted how independent community media can generate alternative revenue by hosting impactful community events. Organiser Shirley Govender demonstrated how publishers can create sustainable income while delivering meaningful value to the communities they serve.
